Kindergarten class divided into two groups according to Montessori principles.

Dividing a class of 22 children into two groups in accordance with Montessori principles allows teachers to provide an individual approach and adapt teaching to each child.

This model facilitates effective teaching, where the teacher can better monitor children's progress and respond to their needs in real time. The division into smaller groups encourages social interaction and cooperation, which is key to the development of interpersonal skills and respect in a Montessori environment. Differentiating instruction in these groups allows children to work at their own pace, thereby strengthening their independence and intrinsic motivation.

Smaller groups also facilitate effective classroom management, creating space for active learning, freedom of choice of activities and practical skills. This approach also ensures an even distribution of attention among children, which supports their overall development and learning in a harmonious, respectful environment.

Our classroom is fully equipped with a wide selection of quality Montessori aids that support the natural development of children.

Other goals we are focusing on:

  • Development of practical skills and everyday independence (e.g. dressing, cleaning, taking care of oneself and one's surroundings).

  • Supporting sensory perception and developing basic motor skills through sensory material.

  • Development of language skills, both in speaking, reading and writing.

  • Development of mathematical abilities, not only in the area of numbers, but also in the ability to understand relationships between objects and their patterns.

  • Promoting social skills such as cooperation, empathy, respect for others and developing interpersonal relationships.

Our Montessori kindergarten creates space for each child to develop in their individuality, in an environment that respects their pace, interests, and needs.

As a beginning Montessori kindergarten teacher, I focus on creating an environment where children can explore the world, learn at their own pace, and develop their independence and creativity. Although I still have a long way to go, I do my job with enthusiasm and try to approach children individually so that they can find their own path to learning and development.
