We are a true Montessori elementary school and a unique Montessori kindergarten in Karlovy Vary, specializing in individual education of children through a community approach. Our school is inspired by the pedagogical approach of Maria Montessori and we offer a modern environment for the development and learning of children.

The main principles of Montessori pedagogy that we adhere to

Respect for the childi

The child is seen as an active participant in his or her own educational process. Adults are more like guides who support the child's development according to their needs and interests.

Individual pace

Each child develops at their own pace, so Montessori schools do not emphasize that all children complete the same tasks at the same time. Children are given the space to learn according to their individual interests and abilities. We prefer a non-competitive environment.

Learning through play

The Montessori method emphasizes hands-on, concrete experiences. Children learn by manipulating real materials that develop their sensory perception, motor skills, and cognitive abilities.

Sensory education

Montessori materials are designed to help children develop their sensory perception and understanding of abstract concepts (e.g. mathematical or linguistic).

Independence

Children are encouraged to be independent, make their own decisions, and thus develop their responsibility. The learning environment is designed so that children have access to materials and activities that they can do without adult help.

Mixed-age class

In a Montessori classroom, children are of different ages, which allows older children to help younger ones and creates a natural environment for learning and sharing experiences.
